Theorist Laura Mulvey argued that the audience (whether they are male or female) view women from the vantage point of a heterosexual man
This is called the Male Gaze
It suggests that females are objectified in the media and are there for the viewing pleasure of the camera
The male gaze is shown here as Beyonce is being sexualized for having her hands behind her head pushing in her hair up.
Also it supports the male gaze as Beyonce's skin is being exposed in the magazine, for the pleasure of the heterosexual male viewer. This carries on into films
