Unit 4 - group task

For the pre-production of an audio drama, we will need:

  • To go scouting to keep acoustics in mind. If we didn't do this there might be a bad echo in the room.
  • Know what the shot demands. For example, silk clothing is well known for being difficult to pick up on the mic, so an alternative for this could be a boom mic, as opposed to a lavalier mic.
  • To invest wisely with equipment. Investing in the best equipment for the audio can make it the best there is, with the best quality. Otherwise with average equipment it could make a mediocre sounding audio
  • Hire the right people. Professionals will help get the best quality for the audio. They will also have a great understanding of the equipment and know how to use it
  • Make a plan. Making a detailed plan is imperative for streamlining the production process.
